Panel to hear testimony on EPA regulations

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Lawmakers are meeting in Nashville on Tuesday to hear testimony regarding proposed Environmental Protection Agency regulations on the Clean Air Act.

The meeting will focus on the effect the regulations will have on Tennessee.

Among those testifying before the Joint Government Operations Committee are Commissioner of Environment and Conservation Bob Martineau and Commissioner of Agriculture Julius Johnson.

They are expected to present the state's comments on the proposed rules.

Others to testify include representatives from the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Tennessee Mining Association and the Tennessee Farm Bureau.
