Chattanooga police investigate Hamilton Place Blvd robbery

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -  Chattanooga Police responded to 2100 Hamilton Place Blvd for a robbery from person Thursday night just before 7.

 Officers located the victim, a white female, who told police she was approached by an unknown black male in the parking as she was opening her driver's side door. 

The suspect placed an object to the victim's neck and demanded her purse.

Investigators tell Channel 3, the victim complied and the suspect fled on foot to a silver sedan and drove off.

The victim's purse was later recovered in the parking lot where it was found that all of her belongings were still there.

Police tell Channel 3, the suspect was a black male, approximately 5'6” in height,  with a medium build, possibly in his 20's, and wearing a gray hoodie with a black bandana over his face.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423-698-2525.  The investigation is ongoing.
