Forgotten Child Fund needs your help

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Firefighters, EMS & police officers are collecting donations of money and items Friday for underprivileged families this Christmas for The Forgotten Child Fund, and they need your help.

The Forgotten Child Fund, begun in 1962, is a Chattanooga based non-profit organization comprised of first responders that donate their time to provide a better Christmas for needy children in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama tri-state area.

This year, the greatest need is for items aimed at pre-teens and teenagers, aged 10-16. Those items may include remote control cars or helicopters, an inexpensive MP3 (music) player, radio, headphones, nail polish kit or curling iron.

Anything that you would buy for someone that age in your life would serve well and would be appreciated.

Two drop-off points are collecting Friday, December 12, from 6:00am-6:00pm:

  • US101 studios at 7413 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga TN 37421 Map link
