MOUNT DORA, FL (WESH) — The Florida Lottery is not celebrating its latest winner after it found out he is a convicted sexual predator.

Timothy Poole, 43, posed for a photo after claiming a $ 3 million Super Millions prize this week.

When the photo was released, people recognized him as a registered sex offender.

He was arrested back in 2001 for sexual battery on a child under 12 and served three years in prison.

The Florida Lottery took down the photo after learning about his past.

There is no law that prohibits sexual offenders from playing and collecting lottery winnings.
