Violent sex offender back in custody after removing his monitoring device

Posted: Updated:
A violent sex offender is behind bars after authorities say he removed his monitoring device and went to Kentucky.

Forty-eight-year old Stanley Dople, who has a listed address in Ooltewah, was convicted in 2004 of attempted aggravated sexual battery of a two-year-old girl in Oneida.

Details of his arrest are limited.

But we do know, in October probation officers received a tamper alert.

Dople is not authorized to leave the state, according to the affidavit.

He now faces charges of violation of sex offender monitoring and violation of community supervision for life.
