Good Monday. It's going to be a warm week ahead. Average highs this time of year range from the low to mid 50s. We will be 10 degrees above that all week.
The basic set up involves a cold front laying over west Tennessee. Ahead of that front, we can look for light southerly winds keeping warm air flowing in, and keeping numerous clouds overhead, also. The high today will reach 66 in Chattanooga. With the clouds, I wouldn't rule out a few isolated showers here and there, but little to no accumulation. Tonight will be mostly cloudy also with the low dropping to about 50.
Tuesday will be much the same as today. We will be mostly cloudy and warm with a high of 66. We can expect temps in the mid 60s all week with lows in the upper 40s each morning. I don't expect much sun this week, but with all the clouds, we won't have much rain either, only the occasional shower here and there. We will take what we can get, though. For November we saw 3.45" of rain, well below the average of 5.00".
For the weekend we may cool down a little bit, but we are talking about lows in the mid 40s and highs in the low 60s. So we are still not talking about typical December weather.
