Dozens of children around the Tennessee Valley will receive a new bike this Christmas thanks to several generous donations.

The Salvation Army was able to purchase 116 bikes Monday at Black Friday prices after several early Angel Tree donations from local businesses.

Officials say it's a humbling experience to fulfill Christmas wishes this holiday season.

Kimberly George, Salvation Army, "We want to say a big thank you to Academy Sports for working with us, giving us Black Friday deals early, so that many Angel Tree children will be taken care of this year."

If you're interested in giving, the annual "Love Gives Wheels" 36-hour bike drive will be held next weekend.  Organizers are hoping for 500 bikes.
