UPDATE: Forgotten Child Fund needs items for older children

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

The Forgotten Child Fund is in need of gifts for children ages 10 to 15-years old.

You can drop off new toys at the nearest fire station, mail donations to FCF, 3000 Alton Park Blvd, 37410 or donate at ForgottenChildFund.org

Toys will be collected throughout the holiday season.

All 19 Chattanooga fire stations are now equipped with toy collection boxes for you to fill for the Forgotten Child Fund.

"We're big supporters of the Forgotten Child Fund," said Fire Chief Lamar Flint, "and we want to make it as easy as possible for people to donate to this wonderful charity.”  To find the Chattanooga fire station nearest you, visit the Chattanooga Fire Department.

The Forgotten Child Fund has grown from its humble beginning in 1965 when two Chattanooga Police Officers on a call discovered the children in the house would not be getting presents for Christmas.   In 2013 the fund provided new toys to more than 6,000.  

The Forgotten Child Fund will be collecting new toys throughout this holiday season. Tax deductible financial donations are also welcome. Checks may be mailed to : FCF, 3000 Alton Park Blvd., Chattanooga, TN 37410.
