ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta Braves) – The Atlanta Braves released their 2015 spring training schedule today. The 34-game slate begins on Wednesday, March 4, with a home contest against the New York Mets at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The Braves will open the road portion of their spring schedule on Thursday, March 5, when they face the defending American League Central champion Detroit Tigers at Lakeland, Fla.
Braves' pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to camp on Friday, February 20, with their first workout set for the following day. The rest of the Braves players are scheduled to report on Wednesday, February 25, with the first full-squad workout slated for February 26. This spring marks the 18th year that the Braves will train at the Wide World of Sports complex.
Atlanta will play a total of 18 home games at Wide World of Sports. They will play host to 12 different teams, including three games versus the Tigers and two games each against the Baltimore Orioles, the Houston Astros, the New York Mets and the Washington Nationals. The Boston Red Sox, Miami Marlins, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals and the Toronto Blue Jays will make one visit each to Disney.
The home portion of the spring schedule includes four night games: Saturday, March 14, versus the Astros; Wednesday, March 18, versus the Yankees; Tuesday, March 31, versus the Astros and Thursday, April 2, against the Orioles.
Individual spring training game tickets will go on sale Monday, December 1, at the Wide World of Sports box office, through the Atlanta Braves' website (braves.com/springtraining) and through Ticketmaster (800/745-3000). Spring training ticket prices for 2015 range from $14.00 (general admission lawn seats) to $54.00 (lower level reserved seats).
