Channel 3 Chief Meteorologist Paul Barys will be a part of the #Rokerthon live stream Thursday at approximately 3:00pm and again during the Channel 3 Eyewitness News at 11.

Rokerthon, for those who may not know, is Al Roker's attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the longest uninterrupted weather broadcast with the 34-hour "Rokerthon," which also aims to raise money for the USO.

Barys, as most Channel 3 viewers remember, is no stranger to marathon broadcasting sessions. During the 2011 spring tornadoes, Barys was on the air for 12 hours straight, taking breaks only to use the restroom.

Roker's record attempt would be nearly three times as long.

Roker and Barys go way back, having worked at the same television station in Cleveland, OH many years ago.
