House fire causes $400K in damages

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, TN (WRCB) - Walden's Ridge Emergency Services (WRES) battles a three-alarm fire Monday afternoon.  

Just a little after 4 p.m., a 911 call  was reported that a fire was happening at 2674 Brenon Wood Lane in the Signal Mountain area. Walden's Ridge Emergency Services arrived on the scene reporting fire through the roof, in the attic and on the back of the house. 

WRES immediately called for a Mutual Aid response for additional fire engines and manpower.Over 30 firefighters quickly contained the fire. Fire officials tell Channel 3 the fire caused about $400,000 in damages.

The homeowners were insured and will be staying with family. 

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. No injuries were reported but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries.
