Several rock climbers helped assist Mowbray Volunteer Fire Department with a rope rescue Sunday afternoon.

Around 4:30 pm, a 911 call was made reporting a high fall at the Lido Climbing area located on Mowbray Mountain.

When the Mowbray VFD rescue personnel arrived at the patient's location, they found several rock climbers with the injured, male patient.

While rescuers assisted with the patient, the rock climbers helped set up a rope system for the rescuers to extricate the patient.

The patient was conscious and alert and reported to rescue personnel that he slipped on the rocks and fell about 8-10 feet.

The male patient did sustain serious injuries and was transported by Hamilton County EMS to Erlanger Medical Center.
