Hope you got to see the East Hamilton Marching Band, this season, because they had a great show featuring music that peaked on the charts generations before they were born! Director Molly Epperson tells me some of the students were familiar with the Temptations and their hits, but some had no idea. So, as a group, they watched a movie featuring the super-group and their music, and as Mrs. Epperson puts it, they were hooked!

There are 80 students in the band, this year, 19 of which are seniors. Epperson says it is a really hard-working group who have really gotten things done, over the course of the marching season. They competed in three festivals placing second in all three, and as they move into concert season, they are making plans for a trip to Cincinnati in the spring.

Would you like to help get them there? Well, do you like pizza? Starting this month, the third Monday of every month, the Ooltewah Pizza Hut is helping the East Hamilton Band raise money and it is easy to participate. Simply eat-in or order out on that day or night, tell them you want to help out the East Hamilton Band, and 10% of the cost of your purchase is added to their fund.

Congratulations to the East Hamilton School Marching Band, our Friday Night Football Band of the Week!
