Victoria's Secret changes 'perfect body' ad slogan in wake of backlash
British students Frances Black, Gabriella Kountourides and Laura Ferris created the Change.org petition, which has more than 27,000 signatures, to demand that Victoria's Secret apologize for the use of the phrase "Perfect Body," because they said the phrase, presented in front of a group of thin women, promotes a negative body image. While the students were happy with the change of wording on the company's website, they are not done protesting the initial .
"We still want them to change all of the posters in their stores, apologize and pledge to not use such harmful in the future,'' they wrote on Change.org.
Victoria's Secret did not return a call seeking comment.
Some users on social media used the hashtag #iamperfectto express their dissatisfaction with the campaign, including the altered slogan using the same photo of the Victoria's Secret angels..
