A dirty little grill, and a tie for the week's high score

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - Dining out this weekend?

The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a fantastic week reporting no failing grades among the 39 restaurants inspected.

Remember, each week we give the low score and that's a 86, but the Bourbon Grill at Hamilton Place Mall did not have any critical violations. A failing grade is anything lower than a 70.

Inspectors found the walls in the kitchen were dirty, the inside of the refrigerator was dirty along with rusty shelving, and also food that was stored in the cooler was not covered properly. Once again, they score an 86.

The high score of the week is a tie, and a very impressive number to brag about this week. The Subway on Highway 153 across from the Wal-Mart gets a 99, along with Dayton Boulevard's Old Saigon in Red Bank. Congratulations to those employees for their hard work!

Remember any complaints about a restaurant, hotel or motel, day care or a place you work out, feel free to email me. I will immediately pass your complaints and concerns to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon who will most likely respond to your email that day.

Enjoy your meal!
