UPDATE: "Ice on the Landing" has special promos for final weekend

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - UPDATE: The Ice on the Landing will feature several themes and promotions for its final weekend! 

In addition to continuing with its regular Student Night on Tuesday from  p.m. - 9 p.m. ($2 off with college ID) and Family Night on Thursday from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. (one kid skates free with full price paid adult), Ice on the Landing will offer the following weekend specials :

Friday, January 30 - Date Night (7 p.m. - 11 p.m.)
  • Come with your date and receive admission for two for $15
  • Also receive free hot chocolate for two, accompanied by a soundtrack of love songs.
Saturday, January 31 - Creative Discovery Museum Promotion
  • CDM Members receive $3 off skating with their membership card and CDM visitors receive $2 off skating with their museum receipt from that day
  • Skaters that day receive $2 off admission to the CDM with proof of skate admission that day
Sunday, February 1 (Last Day!) – Super Bowl Promotion (12 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
  • Wear your favorite team jersey and receive $2 off admission
We Hate The Super Bowl (6 p.m. - 9 p.m.) 
  • Kids skate for $2 and Adults skate for $4!

PREVIOUS STORY: The "Ice on the Landing" website says the popular attraction will be with us for another month.

Originally scheduled to conclude January 4, the open-air ice skating rink will remain open until February 1, 2015.

PREVIOUS STORY: A new way to enjoy the winter season as Chattanooga Presents and Volkswagen will bring an outdoor ice skating rink to Downtown Chattanooga. 

Located at Ross' Landing, the open top, 50' x 70' rink will open the same night as the Lighted Boat Parade, which is November 28, 2014 and will remain in place through January 4, 2015.

Called “Ice on the Landing,” the waterfront rink will have general public skating sessions and a few special events. There's even a planned appearance by Santa Claus and special benefit nights for local charities.

Tickets will be $10 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. This includes skate rental and skating for two hours.
