TDOT is warning Tennesseeans of a possible scam in the area.

A man posing as a TDOT employee has approached people in Chattanooga saying they need to make repairs to their driveway and if it's not done within 30 days, TDOT would fix it and charge the property owner $80/sq. ft. for the repairs.

The man and his companions were reportedly in a white, crew-cab work truck with no emblems on the side.

This is a scam. TDOT employees  are in marked vehicles and carry identification, and officials say this is not the way they do business.  Anyone who is approached by these people should immediately call the police.
