A man was stabbed in the stomach following an argument at a Cleveland home Tuesday.

Police say they responded to Century Avenue on a possible stabbing. When they got there, they found a juvenile victim laying on the floor while the suspect, Ian Voltz, held pressure to the wound.

According to the incident report, the victim was at the home visiting his child, who lives with his ex-girlfriend. Voltz was also at the home as a guest of the child's mother.

The victim told police his ex-girlfriend's mother was uneasy around Voltz and that she did not get a good feeling from him. She reportedly told her daughter she wanted him to leave but he wouldn't be able to until later because he lived too far away.

The ex-girlfriend told police the victim was jealous of Voltz. She said when she had the bedroom closed, the victim became angry and opened it saying Voltz would not be in the room with his child with the door closed.

At some point, the two went into the kitchen and an argument broke out. Voltz allegedly told the victim to grow up, at which point the victim attacked him. The ex-girlfriend states the next thing she knew, the victim was holding his abdomen and yelling to call 911.

Voltz tells police he feared for his life and stabbed the victim to protect himself and the ex-girlfriend.

At this time, no charges have been filed.

The victim was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.
