Voters still heading to the polls

Posted: Updated:
FORT OGLETHORPE, GA (WRCB) - The polls are still open, across the country, 90 million people are expected to cast their ballots.

People in our own back yards are heading to the polls after work trying to beat the clock.

Polls close in Tennessee and Georgia between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. depending on where you live.

Election officials tell Channel 3, more than 760 people total have cast their ballot in the special election for the city council seat.

One woman Channel 3 spoke with told us it was her first time voting in Georgia.

Election officials here tell us they've seen more folks take advantage of early voting than actually casting their ballot here on Election Day, which has helped keep wait times and lines down drastically.
