Two men on arrested on Cleveland burglary charges

CLEVELAND, TN (WRCB) - The Bradley County Sheriff's Office's arrested and charged 24-year-old Jonathan Andrew Presley of Reliance, TN and 27-year-old Cody Tyler Appling of Cleveland with burglary. 

Both men are accused of taking chainsaws and a saddle on Trewhitt Drive Southeast in early October. Police tell Channel 3 that reports indicate Presley sold some of the stolen items to a local business, using an assumed name. 

That business owner then provided investigators with a vehicle description and tag number that was registered to the vehicle driven by Presley, and the business owner reported Appling as his passenger. 

Upon further investigation, police charged Presley with Aggravated Burglary, Theft over $500.00 and Forgery. Appling was charged with Aggravated Burglary and Theft over $500.  

Both were booked into the Bradley County Jail. The chainsaws were recovered amd returned to the victim.
