Chattanooga Civil Rights leader passes away

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - A trailblazer during the Civil Rights movement of the 60's in Chattanooga has died. Reverend Herbert H. Wright passed away Monday night at the age of 84. 

Reverend Wright lead the congregation at Wesley Chapel for more than 40 years.  

And spent years rallying to end police brutality. 

He's also credited with getting more African Americans elected to city government.

John P. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
