The Chattanooga Fire Department held its annual "Fire Prevention Week" awards ceremony Monday morning.
Prizes were awarded to students who participated in the department's fire safety poster contest.

Department officials say the winners' posters were the ones that best illustrated this year's fire safety theme, which was "Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives."

All the winners received gift cards from Walmart.

The overall winner, Jillian Waterhouse from Boyd-Buchanan, will have her poster displayed on a local billboard for a month.
