FORT OGLETHORPE, GA (WRCB) - WalMart plans to open their new Fort Oglethorpe Walmart Neighborhood Market soon, and is looking for 95 associates to help staff the new facility.

A temporary hiring center has been opened at 79 Crye-Leike Plaza, across from the Fort Oglethorpe Walmart Supercenter.

Applications will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm; applicants may also apply online.

Through Walmart's Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, they will offer a job to any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months; veterans may find out more online.

The majority of new associates will begin work in December to help prepare the store for its grand opening.

Store manager Casey Robertson said in a news release that the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates. “I am excited to bring the first Walmart Neighborhood Market to Fort Oglethorpe,” said Robertson. “Walmart provides a great opportunity for career growth, and I am eager to meet energetic applicants ready to come on board.”
