NASHVILLE, TN (AP) - A Tennessee woman has been charged with trying to bribe a police officer into letting her go during a traffic stop.

Officers told WTVF-TV in Nashville ( ) that 22-year-old Angelic Alexander flashed $520 at the officer after being told she would get a misdemeanor citation for driving on a revoked license.

Police stopped Alexander's car Monday night for having a headlight out. Officers say Alexander gave them a fake name, which turned out to be the identity of a woman with a revoked license.

Alexander was arrested on a charge of bribery of a public servant. When police later learned her real name, they found she had three outstanding warrants against her and her driver's license was also revoked.

Jail records did not list an attorney for her.
