Jones battles Ole Miss for in state prospects

MEMPHIS, TN (WRCB)--Vols Head Coach Butch Jones may have lost Saturday night's game in Oxford versus Ole Miss, but he's battling Ole Miss on another front, the recruiting trail.
Jones visited Memphis area offensive line prospect Drew Richmond Friday night.
Richmond is considered one of the top ranked recruits in the state of Tennessee..
The 6'5, 320 pounder would fill an obvious need for the Vols on their offensive line, but he's already committed to Ole Miss.
Jones wants Richmond to think twice about his football future before signing day, hopefully in Knoxville.
While Coach Jones can't speak specifically to Richmond, he did talk about his salesmanship as a steward of,  "The state of Tennessee and we're the state institution so to be able to come out tonight, break away from the hotel a little bit some team activities and soak in a high school football game is very special and critical for us," said Jones Friday night.

"I think Tennessee is going to be in the mix,  he's already talking about visiting Tennessee a couple of more times, possibly before signing day. So I think Tennessee is definitely going to be in play with them, likely to signing day and Tennessee is probably the biggest threat to Ole Miss right now," opined Ryan Callahan, an analyst for the website
