Calhoun, GA Police Department receives incentive grant

Posted: Updated:

The Calhoun, GA Police Department has received a $10,000 grant from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety.

The grant, one of 24 awarded across the state, is awarded to help in reducing crashes, injuries, and fatalities across the State of Georgia.

The grant, which will continue through September of 2015, will help finance much needed equipment such as radars, alco-sensors and other traffic enforcement equipment to assist in the reduction and prevention of serious injuries or death.

Since the year 2000 accidents and serious injuries have been decreased about 70% because of our partnership with GOHS.
