One of Chattanooga's top radio personalities is being remembered as "a true pro who loved his listeners."  That's how Ben "Bearman" Martin is being remembered by longtime US-101 morning show partner Ken Hicks.

Martin, who was 61, passed away Thursday after a lengthy battle with liver disease.  He had been hospitalized frequently in recent months, and had returned home Wednesday.  Late Wednesday night, he fell, and the resulting head injury was too much to overcome.

Since 1995, "Bearman and Ken" were the morning team on US-101. They were joined by Daniel Wyatt in 2009.  The morning hosts were highly-rated, and were often nominated for country radio's top awards, winning the Country Radio Broadcasters Personality of the Year Award.

Visitation is set for Saturday from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe.  The funeral will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
