Bodies fly in "Bubble Soccer"

(WPTZ)  The concept is the same, but the obstacles to get to the end goal are a little bit larger.

The sport is Bubble Soccer, and it's taking off in Burlington, Vermont.

"It's so fun, it's impossible to take anything seriously when you are flipping upside down," Drew Burns says.

The game first appeared in Norway in 2011. Since then, it has been on the rise worldwide, even appearing on Fallon Tonight earlier this year.

"I think it was after the 100th time I watched one particular video that I decided it would be a good idea to buy some of these things," Burns says. "It's been a great decision so far, they're a lot of fun."

You don't have to be Pele. Once you jump into the bubble, everyone is on a level playing field.

"It's not really about the game, it's just as much fun to hit other people and flip around," first-time player Caroline Raue says.
