Man arrested, found in closet, eating a salad

MCMINN COUNTY, TN (WRCB) - The search for an assault suspect in McMinn County ended when sheriff's deputies found the man standing in a closet, eating a bowl of salad.

Fifty—four year-old Timothy Black has been charged with aggravated domestic assault.

Friday evening at about 8:30pm, McMinn County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call on County Road 298 for an assault suspect who returned to the home where the alleged incident occurred.

When they arrived and searched the home, they found Black standing in the closet, eating salad.

The deputy then told Black to show him his hands and the suspect “Put one hand up with a bowl of salad in it and the other hand up with a fork in it,” according to the arrest report.

Black was taken into custody and then released on a $10,000 dollar bond.

This wasn't Black's first brush with the law. Prior to the aggravated assault arrest, he also had three other active warrants out for his arrest from Monroe County.
