Man files suit against the City of Chattanooga and a Chattanooga Police officer for excessive force

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

A local man has filed a lawsuit against the city of Chattanooga and one of its officers for excessive force, claiming the officer followed him home, and shot him with a stun gun because of his car window tints.

Deonte Jackson named Chattanooga police officer Joseph Sabba and the city in the suit.

The  incident was in November of last year.  Jackson claims Sabba followed him home, for no apparent reason. He says the officer never turned on his blue lights or siren.

The suit claims when Jackson arrived home, the officer pointed a weapon at him, and eventually triggered his stun gun. The lawsuit also cites a pattern of this kind of behavior in the department.
