The TSA confiscated a loaded gun from a passenger's carry-on luggage Sunday evening at the Chattanooga airport.

A spokesperson for the Transportation Security Administration said they found it in the carry-on bag of a 65-year-old man flying from Chattanooga to Charlotte.

The gun is a .32 made by L.W. Seecamp Co., Inc.

Local law enforcement responded to the checkpoint.

This is the eighth weapon to be found in a carry-on bag at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport this year.

TSA may fine these offenders up to $11,000 for bringing a firearm to a security checkpoint.
