ATLANTA (AP) - Democrat Jason Carter is expected to report raising more than $3 million during the last quarter in his bid to unseat Republican Gov. Nathan Deal.

Deal has not yet reported his fundraising for the latest quarter. The reports are due Tuesday as the candidates enter the final stretch before voters go to the polls on Nov. 4.

Carter also is expected to report having $2.8 million in cash for that final push. The last three months of contributions brought his fundraising total for the race to about $6.9 million.

The state senator from Atlanta has outraised Deal during the last two quarters, narrowing Deal's financial advantage in the competitive race. Deal's last filing reported that he had raised about $9.3 million for the race.
