Dr. Nancy Snyderman's team returns to U.S. on charter flight

An NBC News team led by Chief Medical Editor and Correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman arrived in the U.S. on a charter flight on Monday night after a freelance cameraman working with them in Liberia was diagnosed with Ebola. All were "feeling well and in good health," NBC News President Deborah Turness said in a statement sent to staff members on Tuesday. “While they are deemed to be at low risk, we have agreed with state and local health authorities that our team will not come to work, and they will stay at home taking their temperatures twice daily and staying in touch with the local health authorities for the remainder of the recommended 21-day period."

Ashoka Mukpo, 33, who had been hired to be a second cameraman for the team in Monrovia, Liberia, arrived at a Nebraska hospital for treatment on Monday. Snyderman was with three other NBC News employees on assignment in Liberia reporting on the Ebola outbreak. Turness said that Mukpo was "getting the very best care possible."
