TN attempted murder fugitive caught in Cherokee Co.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, NC (WRCB) -

Cherokee County Sheriff's Office arrested 35-year-old Thomas Lee Beasley, a homeless man from Chattanooga on fugitive warrants on Thursday, October 2.

The United States Marshal's Fugitive Apprehension Unit provided information that Beasley was living in Cherokee County and that he was wanted in Hamilton County on Charges of Attempted First Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault charges. 

Investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office as well as Marshals found Beasley living in a tent in the Ranger Community. 

Beasley was taken into custody without incident and was taken before the Cherokee County Magistrate who set no bond on the fugitive warrant. 

Beasley is currently incarcerated in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting extradition or hearing.
