Posted: Updated:
CATOOSA COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -

UPDATE: The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado hit Ringgold last night. The tornado had winds of 110 mph.

UPDATE: A tornado warning was in effect earlier Monday evening in parts of north Georgia.

At least five homes on Meadowview Lane in Ringgold have been affected by the weather. Downed trees and power lines are the problems for folks in that area. No reports of injuries.

We've seen some homes that have lost their roofs and a lot of debris is scattered throughout the region.

In Walker County it almost looks like a snow on the ground after a short, but intense storm passed through.

The Dade County EMA tweeted out a picture of quarter size hail in the valley there.

And in LaFayette, GA, a piece of hail that one of our viewers claims to be bigger than a golf ball.
