Strong storms expected to produce heavy rain / gusty winds
(WRCB) - Good Monday. Round 1 of our heavy rain and wind has moved through dropping about .25" to .75" of rain. We will see isolated storms continuing to pop up through the afternoon with another round of widespread showers and storms late tonight. The main threat from storms that develop will continue to be heavy rain and gusty winds.
Overnight, the precipitation will taper, but I still expect some scattered showers on and off through the day Tuesday with one or two isolated storms. Tuesday will be much less intense than this afternoon, however. Tuesday's high will reach 75.
We will finally begin to clear out Wednesday and Thursday, but don't expect a cool down following the rain. Highs for mid week will climb into the low 80s.
More showers will move through Friday with a high of 80. The weekend looks good with the rain chance low, and highs in the upper 70s.
