Dining out this weekend?

The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a great week reporting no failing grades. They also had a quiet week because most of the team is in Nashville this week learning about the new food codes for the state.

The team did manage to visit 13 businesses and as always we give you the low score which is an 82. Remember, a failing grade is any score lower than a 70.

According to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon on Ringgold Road you will find Lively's Bar & Grill.

Employees need to pay closer attention to these violations which include: the utility sink was clogged meaning no waste water could go down the drain, chemicals in the kitchen were unlabeled, the floors need repairing and also a good cleaning and finally no hand soap or towels at the hand sink in the kitchen. They score an 82.

Now for the high score of the week; there's actually a three way tie and congratulations on scoring a 97 to the following places: Ankar's Express Cafe on Shallowford Road, The English Rose Tea Room on Market Street and Armando's on Highway 58. Once again, nice work!

Remember any complaints about a restaurant, hotel or motel, daycare or a place you work out, feel free to email me. I send your complaints directly to Chief Inspector Falcon and he assigns your concerns to one of his employees usually that same day. Just a reminder that we only report on Hamilton County businesses.

Enjoy your meal!
