CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) --Chattanooga's Football Mocs prepare for Virginia Military Institute's Keydets Saturday afternoon at Finley Stadium, as the Keydets serve as UTC's Homecoming opponent.
The Mocs are coming off their 38-24 win last Saturday over Samford, making them now 2 and 2 overall and 1-0 in the Southern Conference, as they ready for the pass happy offensive set of VMI.
For Mocs defensive end Davis Tull, the current national and SoCon defensive player of the week, he says bring it.
" That's my favorite thing about football is rushing the passer so I'm excited for this work week," says Tull.
" I said before the season started that anybody in this league can beat anybody in this league and you're probably going to see that before its all said and done," said Mocs Head Coach Russ Huesman Tuesday.
VMI comes in to Finley Saturday with a 1-4 record in their return to the Southern Conference this season after an eleven year sabbatical in the Big South.
If UTC can win Saturday, it would be the Mocs first 2-0 SoCon start since 1984.
Kickoff is set for 4pm.
