CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -
"Over the Edge" partners each year with the local Boy Scouts to raise money for the challenge.
The rappellers or "edgers" raise a minimum of 1-thousand dollars to take part in the event. The event has helped non-profits across North America for ten years. All proceeds from Over the Edge will benefit the more than 5-thousand youth that participates in our local Boy Scouts.
Wednesday Channel 3 Eyewitness News anchor Cindy Sexton rappelled down the SunTrust building on Market Street.
She didn't do it alone. Professionals were on hand to help get participants down the building safely.
Participants from age 16 to 86 have rappelled skyscrapers as part the program.
You can take part Thursday by rappelling, donating or just watching from below at Center Park, next to SunTrust Bank.
