A disabled veterans group is once again left picking up the pieces. Vandals hit the vet building weeks after a car crashed into it.
The vets at the local chapter 6 D.A.V. in Red Bank say vandals threw rocks at their entrance windows, broke a light in the parking lot, and created all kinds of mischief overnight. This comes just two weeks after a car smashed through an outdoor memorial, and hit part of the building, leaving damage and driving away.
The vets hope anyone who may know something will come forward.
Jimmy Luck, local chapter 6 D.A.V. member, says "It would really help that way we would have some recourse as far as our expense, cause every dollar that we have to put out on this is taking away from money to help a vet."
The veterans who operate that Chapter 6 building say they do have insurance, but are still having to cover thousands of dollars worth of damage.
