Good Tuesday. We have lots of weather changes on the way as we start October, so let's get to it!
We will wrap up September increasing our annual rainfall deficit. Our rainfall situation looks like this. We received 2.48" of rain for the month, 1.42" below average. For the year, our deficit increases to about 8" below normal. By comparison, so far for 2014, about 31" of rain has fallen. This time last year, we had seen over 56" by the end of September.
For today, look for mostly sunny skies and highs near 84. Tonight, we will cool back down with a low of 60 in Chattanooga heading into Wednesday.
By Wednesday afternoon, we will have highs of about 87, and we are expecting it to climb to 88 by Thursday! Both days will see a nice amount of sunshine.
Thursday night, look for clouds to build ahead of a front that will move in overnight into Friday morning. It will bring a line of storms to the area that could drop more than an inch of rain if the storms are able to hold together.
It will clear out quickly Friday with the high only reaching 74. I do expect clear skies Friday evening for the football games, but it may be a bit breezy in the wake of the front.
Friday night into Saturday morning we will cool all the way down to 54, and only warm up to 74 Saturday afternoon.
Sunday will start even cooler with a low of 49! Sunday's high will be a little warmer, but still awesome at 77.
Expect nothing but sunshine both days of your weekend.
