Sale Creek, TN (WRCB) - Sale Creek High School Bass Team held their first regular season Bass Tournament out of Possum Creek boat ramp on Chickamauga Lake, Saturday September 27, 2014.

Wyatt Coleman, from Soddy Daisy, took the win with 2 bass weighing 4.40 pounds. Coleman also won the overall Big Fish of the tournament award with a largemouth bass weighing 2.42 pounds.

Full Results:
1st - Wyatt Coleman - 4.4 lbs.
2nd - James Gravitte and Holden James - 3.23 lbs.
3rd - Parker Reed and Dylan Perry - 2.92 lbs.
4th - Luke Roberts and John Roberts - 2.14 lbs.
5th - Jack Vineyard and Thomas Smith - 1.54 lbs.
6th - Caleb Callaham and Cameron Nixon - 0.81 lbs.
7th - Dalton James and Hayden Abbott – 0 lbs.
7th - Jared Francisco and Jacob Francisco – 0 lbs.
7th - Kaleb James and Blake Morgan – 0 lbs.
7th - Davey Warf and Jase Perry – 0 lbs.
7th - Makayla Collins and Cody Defore – 0 lbs.

Sale Creek High School Bass Team coach Mike James and Asst. coach Russ Francisco said "it is our goal to give these kids a chance to get out on the lake and to develop enthusiasm for the outdoors while teaching kids the skills of bass fishing on a competitive level and re-enforcing the ethics of  sportsmanship.”

In our area, there are several other high schools that already have teams. These include Soddy Daisy, Rhea County, Grundy County, and Silverdale Baptist Academy (SBA), and East Hamilton.
