CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) --The UTC Football Mocs are feeling better after their Southern Conference win Saturday night over Samford. Chattanooga's defense and special teams helped set the table early and often. From an 0 and 2 stumbled start, the Mocs are now even at 2-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Looking back at Saturday night's win, Mocs' Head Coach Russ Huesman says his team played good enough to win, but it's still a work in progress. " I don't think we were great on offense, I don't think we were great on defense we had some special performances defensively, we had some really good play from some people offensively, and then in the kicking game, we were really good across the board, " said Huesman Sunday. Offensively, Mocs running back Keon Williams rushed for 131 yards and scored two touchdowns, accounting for more than half of the Mocs rushing production. UTC prepares for the Keydets of Virginia Military Institute Saturday afternoon at 4pm at Finley Stadium, before heading to Knoxville the following week for the Tennessee Vols.
