UPDATE: Body found in river ID'ed

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: Chattanooga police have identified the body found Sunday in the Tennessee River.

Steven Paul Calhoon, a 34-year-old was found Sunday under the Olgiati Bridge.

Police are still awaiting the results from the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.


UPDATE: Around 8:30 Sunday morning Chattanooga Police were dispatched to 530 Manufactures Road on reports of a body being found.

Police tell Channel 3, a body was found floating in the Tennessee River.

The age, sex and race of the victim has not been determined but investigators are working to find the cause of the incident and identification of the victim.

At this time there is no evidence of a criminal act and police say the victim is not a competitor from Sunday's IronMan events.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call 423-698-2525.  

The investigation is ongoing.
