Rhea remains unbeaten, thumping Red Bank 54-7

RED BANK,TN (WRCB)---Rhea County came into Red Bank's Tom Weathers Field Friday night as if they owned the place.

They certainly owned the Lions defense as Red Bank unable to stop the potent Golden Eagle running back corps, headed by sophomore Cody Bice who sticks the first Rhea touchdown of the night.

Rhea's Jake York successfully ends the Golden Eagles second drive of the evening with this touchdown dive.

Then, more Cody Bice for TD number three as the Eagles miss the extra point, but then it's Bice again on the successive drive, he goes literally untouched on the sweep for score, 27 nothing Golden Eagles at halftime.
Rhea picks it up where they left off after the break and who else but Cody Bice? He solidifies his player of the game honors as the Eagles soar over the Lions, 54-7. " Thanks to my blockers, I couldn't have done it or my blockers, my blockers do everything on offense for me," said the humble sophomore afterward. " Cody has been banged up early in the year, the last two games he's done a great job," said victorious Rhea Head Coach Mark Pemberton.

The Golden Eagles are now 5-0 with the backstretch of the schedule Evensville heavy.
" Yeah, we're four out of the next five at home! Big ball games so hopefully we'll play well down the stretch at home," said Pemberton, as he looks ahead with Rhea hosting unbeaten Cookeville next Friday night.
