Dalton Police Department searching for metal thieves

Posted: Updated:
DALTON, GA (WRCB) -

Dalton Police need your help finding two men who, they say, stole more than $300 worth of copper wiring from a Shaw facility earlier this month.

The men were recorded on surveillance, but police say the picture of the truck may better help to identify the suspects.

The truck is a white pickup that is missing its right quarter panel above the front right wheel.

The surveillance photos were taken September 5.

Police say the suspect hit the facility twice that day. The first time at 5:00 a.m. when a white male suspect arrived riding a bicycle and stole a small quantity of copper wire.

That suspect returned later in the day at approximately 3:30 pm with another white male in a pickup truck to steal more of the wiring.

If you have any information, you are asked to please contact Detective Brian Shirley at 706-278-9085, dial 9 and then enter extension 189.
