Pancake place needs some love and a pizza joint wins big
Dining out this weekend?
The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a great week reporting no failing grades among the 20 places they visited.
The inspection team is visiting schools looking at everything from the playground to classroom and of course all kitchen areas, said Chief Inspector Jack Falcon.
But each week we do give you the low score and that's an 85. (A failing grade is any score lower than a 70.)
On Brainerd Road the low score can be found at IHOP Restaurant. Inspectors found spoiled bananas and cracked eggs. The floors need cleaning, and the ice maker needs repairing.
Now for the high score of the week, and there were a lot of them. We found a 98 as the big winner at Proni's Pizza & Subs on Brainerd Road.
Nice work and plenty of pride by their employees.
Remember any complaints about a restaurant, hotel or motel, daycare or a place you work out, feel free to email me. I send your complaints directly to Chief Inspector Falcon and he assigns your concerns to one of his employees usually that same day. Just a reminder that we only report on Hamilton County businesses.
Enjoy your meal!
