CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - A documented gang member is accused of robbing a man and then holding the victim's girlfriend at gunpoint.

Ladarius Springs, 25, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated robbery.

On August 26, police responded to a robbery outside a residence on 12th Avenue. The victim told police he had gone to see his girlfriend's cousin when a man came up to him with a gun and demanded his belongings. The suspect took a wallet and cell phone.

The victim shoved the robber and took off running.
The suspect then held the victim's girlfriend at gunpoint and rummaged through his car before chasing after the victim. He shot several rounds into the air and then fled the scene.

The victims were able to give police an accurate description of him, down to the scar on his face. Investigators learned the suspect's nickname was Scarface, which led them to Springs.

Investigators showed the victims a photo lineup which included Springs, and they identified him.

Springs' bond was set at $90,000. He is expected to appear in court Tuesday.
