DALTON, GA (WRCB) - UPDATE: The pain is still raw for the Painters who lost their grandson 24-year-old Josh Painter on Thursday.

Charlene Painter says, she was told Josh was trying to move manufacturing equipment at the Marketing Alliance Group on Cross Plains Boulevard in Dalton when a large piece of machinery that was top heavy shifted weight striking Josh to the ground.

Charlene says, it does give her some comfort knowing an investigation will determine how it happened.

The Office of Public Affairs in Atlanta say, “this will be the second time OSHA has inspected the Marketing Alliance Group since 2012.”

They issued a statement to Channel 3 saying," the Marketing Alliance Group will cooperate with the ongoing investigating.”

Until more details are revealed about the accident, the Painters say, “we will try to keep in our minds fond memories of Josh and the times we shared together.”

UPDATE: A news release issued Friday by Marketing Alliance Group said the company is cooperating with the investigation into the death of an employee of Spartan Industrial Contracting.

Spartan was hired by Larue Properties, and the accident occurred when a contractor was working in Larue's rental space, dismantling and loading industrial equipment that was said to be owned by Larue.
