HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -
Early the morning of September 3rd, police responded to a business alarm at 1906 Gunbarrel Road. Officer Tim McFarland explains, someone had indeed, literally, broken into C.P.R, Cell Phone Repair. "Officers found that the front glass was shattered," he said.
Luckily, there are surveillance cameras mounted all around the showroom, the help desk, and in the back of the business, too. From those cameras, we were able to pull pictures showing our suspect in action. In the color shot, he looks to be wearing purple, and, in the black and white image, it appears he is wearing a surgical mask of some sort.
The man beat a path through the store to the back room. "We know that several phones and some accessories were taken," said Officer McFarland.
That leaves the business owner stuck with the value of the lost merchandise and repair to the plate-glass window. While the phones could possibly be tracked, the accessories, be they batteries, cases, or screen protectors, are probably long gone.
Have a good look at the surveillance pictures and understand that if you recently got a local, sweetheart of a deal on a new phone, McFarland added, "It might be too good to be true."
The right piece of information in this case could lead you to up to $1,000 in Crime Stoppers reward cash.
